Stephanie Tanyu Coyiuto, more commonly know as Stenie, is a 23-year-old aspiring business woman, a writer, a photographer, and a traveler. A Young Star columnist for the Philippine Star, she entered Ateneo de Manila University on Merit Scholarship in 2000, pursuing a degree in Management Engineering. Halfway through her second year, she transferred to the National University of Singapore where she earned her degree in Business Administration. Stephanie then went to Shanghai, working as a trainee actuary at Ping An Insurance of China.

After a year in Shanghai, she was granted the John Van Buren writing fellowship to the Aegean Center for the Fine Arts. Stephanie spent a semester in Italy and Greece studying photography and creative writing under UC Berkeley and NYU educated teachers John Pack, Jeffrey and Liz Carson. Soon after, she took courses in actuarial science at the University of New South Wales, Sydney.

In Fall '06, Stephanie entered Columbia University in the City of New York, and is taking her Masters degree in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences. Her passion for photography has not waned, and she is continuing to develop her craft in the visual arts department at Columbia University under Professor Thomas Roma.
